Tesla has started large-scale production of the Model Y at its newly opened Giga Berlin. Giga Berlin is truly the factory of the future. One Model Y body rolls off the production line every 45 seconds – which is unbelievable. Behind this result is an army of robots that bend, weld, rivet and fit everything together. Tesla announced at the opening ceremony at Gigafactory in Berlin (Gruenheide) that it plans to produce 500,000 cars a year at Giga Berlin. Elon Musk noted that the Gigafactory will operate 24/7.
